I don't know if he'll turn into a good post season performer but I fully expect him to be a good (injury prone) starting pitcher, as he has pretty much always been.

His long illustrious career of 870 innings

 Ok

The guy has been an all star (pitching in Arlington, btw) four times in 6 seasons. You're right, he's not been good at all.

7 seasons. First 3 an All Star. Trending down. Now a beat up 32 yr old who's averaged 124 innings a year.
So sure, he'll be fine. He always has been.

What are you even saying here? You think he has no value?

I think the Cubs have themselves a James Shields.

James Shields had 16 wins with the Sox. Do you think Darvish gets more than that as a Cub? He has one right meow.

I don't think it will be James Shields bad, but the Darvish move is likely not going to be a very good deal for the Cubs.

The Nats signed Kurt Suzuki to a 2yr/$10M contract.

You have to think this puts them out of the JT Realmuto market. I guess they could still trade for him but that would be an awful lot of resources in the catcher position. Most likely they sign/trade for another mid/low level catcher.

The Yankees acquired LHP James Paxton from the Mariners for LHP Justus Sheffield, RHP Erik Swanson and OF Don Thompson-Williams.

Damn. The Yanks aren’t fucking around this off season. Paxton is a good fit for them. The return seems a little light though Sheffield has a chance to be pretty darn good.

Wasn't there a report that Seattle was informing teams they were selling? Could be a reason why the return was less than you expected.

So he replaces Happ? They're not gonna bother with Happ?

Probably not. They got Sabathia and Paxton and still rumored to be going after Patrick Corbin.

They’re gonna trade Sonny Gray so they could still resign Happ. Corbin and Eovaldi are possibilities too.

Paul Goldschmidt is being shopped? I would love to have that bat in my lineup.

Yep, fire sales going on all over the place

James Paxton
Bryce Harper
Manny Machado
Paul Goldschmidt
Zack Greinke
Corey Kluber
Noah Syndergaard

They could ALL be on new teams next year

hear at least half-dozen teams are believed to be real players for Noah Syndergaard. mets are seriously considering deals for him if they could fill multiple holes with real impact. will be one of the big winter meetings storylines.

Sounds like Donaldson to the Braves on a 1yr deal.

Busy day for the Braves. They also inked BRIAN MCCANN! to a 1yr deal.

The Mets hired Jim Riggleman aka the grim reaper as their bench coach.

Poor Micky Calloway. He’ll be shit canned by July1.

Officer McCann's first order of business will be to show Acuna how to wear his hat.

The Rangers and RHP Jesse Chavez agreed on a 2yr/$8M deal

So much for that I’m pitching for the Cubs or going home comment.

I guess maybe he didn't expect anyone to offer 2 years?

Maybe this means they are planning on adding a big bullpen piece via trade?

“Significant Momentum” Toward Deal To Send Robinson Cano, Edwin Diaz To Mets. Mets prospects Jarred Kelenic and Justin Dunn are “under discussion” along with other young players.

Whoa. Is this dumbass agent really stupid enough to trade Jared Kelenic for an aging expensive as fuck juice monster and a volatile young closer. Every GM in baseball should be blowing this dudes phone up trying to fleece players he knows absolutely nothing about.

It looks like this dumbass trade is actually going to happen. The holdup is how much money is involved. I should have realized that Cano is one of the GM/agent former clients. I don’t think i’ve ever wanted a deal to be a spectacular failure as much as I want this one.
