I am mixing you up with somebody else, I apologize. Mean Weiner and us were 2 of the 16 burger joints (one for each week) asked to do a Bears themed burger for this season. Ours was featured on the Bears' Twitter and Instagram this past week.

Have you ever read a typical employee handbook? It's nothing other than cover your ass corporate jargon. It closes with these policies can change at anytime without notice.

I am not certain what the protocol is here, but it seems like this is going to be damaging to her authority as a manager and personally insulting to serve these people when she knows they are not paying. As for "fast food employees" are you implying they are not capable of making rational decisions because of their profession? They should be corporate robots following a vague policy to the letter while also being one of the most profitable stories in the area- otherwise time for new management for certain.

Yes, I am espousing the wildly controversial opinion that a Chipotle Manager should follow Chipotle management protocol.

Well, it comes off like everyone working there- including a big black dude- was like, "Not these assholes again." The manager wasn't rude at all. She kind of smiled at the jerkoff and said, "Hey, you guys always come in here without any money. We're not making any food unless you can pay." She knew who they were. And the guy's Twitter suggests she was right. Let's not make this a racial thing. Are we really going to take the side of some bum who is proud of dining and dashing over that of a hardworking Hispanic woman?

The policy exists to cover the company's ass. There is the policy, and there is actually getting the work done. This incident it part of the larger problem of identity politics, and the way that it poisons our interactions.
