Making false claims of racism isn't important. This is really about stolen burritos.

Don't care about that second sentence (shocker) ... the bowl version just tastes better to begin with.

You have taught us that it's always best to assume racism and bad intentions.

That never caught on though. And it doesn't bother you at all that you have to declare people bad. It doesn't occupy your thoughts at all.

Why would it bother me? I'm making fun of you.

I still prefer "Yeah, but what about Asians?" but you've stopped referencing Asians because of it.

You are clearly bothered by it, because your intellectual shallowness is exposed. You love to make fun of religion, but you cling to your racism =bad religion to draw absolutely stupid conclusions. So much so that you claim without joking that having a fast food worker publicly shamed and fired should not be news because "people steal all the time".

But saying bad things on Twitter should be news, and it's really hurtful.

Don't worry your sycophants will be here soon enough to try to change the subject.

Calmer than you are, dude.

As for intellectual shallowness, your posts are so transparent that the last time you called me a liar for something I said, you absolutely refused to provide even one example to prove me wrong.

But hey, keep on fighting the good fight.

As for this thread, I never once even mentioned racism. I just mentioned it shouldn't be a national story that someone tried to steal a few burritos from chipotle. Now, maybe that was too intellectually shallow, but that would include the guy not being a national story either because he was probably trying to steal a burrito. That may have been too nuanced for you though so I'll make it easier.

Story about guy stealing a burrito being national news bad. Ignoring a guy who tried to steal a burrito good.

That's not the story though. The story is that some scumbag tried to use Twitter to get a person fired and a major corporation reflexively obliged.

The other story, the one no one is discussing, is the clear racial/victim hierarchy at play. In the same story where five white men were the culprits, the manager would have been the "Person of Color". It's almost like the paper bag test in reverse.

I don't know what that means. But what I do know is that if the dine and dash crew had been Chad Smith and four of his white prep school friends rather than a group of Somalis, the reaction of the liberals toward the manager would have been quite different.

Not exactly. I'm guessing she was fired for not following company policy. As Sam has said, there are many ways she could have handled this. The worst case scenario for the multiple ways she could have done it is that she has to throw away a burrito. After that, call up corporate and get advice on what to do next.

Now, luckily this guy was easily proven to be a scumbag and she was vindicated for her suspicion.

I'm not sure about that. It certainly didn't come into play with the man vs. woman part of it. It's possible though.

The only part of this story that is interesting is how Chipotle seemingly didn't investigate this at all.

Regardless of Chipotle policy (we don't know what it was), I am 100% certain that if it were Chad Smith rather than Masud Ali, the narrative would not be about corporate policy, but instead about how a bunch of privileged fucksticks messed with a hardworking Woman of Color who did her noble best to act in her employer's interests.

Imagine if Brett Kavanaugh were stealing burritos at a Minnesota Chipotle.

I have only seen this story here. If it is being presented the way JORR describes in the media, that's fucked up.

You know what it means. It's okay. You and MANY other posters believe that you're being treated unfairly by the media and society. You and MANY others try to highlight these perceived double standards almost daily. Regardless of how big or small they may be.

What do you mean? Rick's post was very matter of fact. It has no "HR" bullshit phrasing or double speak.

People can be fired for not following company policy even if they do not agree with that company policy. And a good portion of company policy is usually BS.

That is why you make the burrito, ask for payment, and then refuse to give the burrito over after payment is not provided. You then tell corporate who will then decide if any other action should be taken.

I find it laughable that we would expect a fast food worker to call Corporate headquarters for clarification on what to do when some asshole keeps showing up and not paying.

We are talking about why the person was fired. Companies have policies about theft.

The answer to what they would expect has been provided multiple times already. You throw away the burrito if you do not receive payment.

If it becomes a chronic problem then of course you talk to your district manager. That is how these things work.

That is a pretty funny scenario waiting on hold to talk to some corporate rep as a line of actual customers builds behind the register.
