Yeah I'm not really sure where the idea he was a good Bears poster came from. He was a frequent poster in that section but that doesn't mean his thoughts were particularly interesting or enlightening. His emotional and meatballish Bears spamming seemed to mirror his reactionary politics.

I'd rather circle the wagons than circle America's dick like you're doing.

I enjoyed his "Matt Nagy sucks as a coach" takes. Some folks don't know how good they have it.

Good idea Frank. Wisemen, is there anyway to do this as a compromise?

I always had a soft spot for America, I think I even called him my evil twin at one point, but I can't take any more of that element here or anywhere anymore. It's been too much for too long, enough already.

Both of the above are right on the mark. His Sox posts were decent though.

I’m not bitter about the Bears success. I hate the Vikings, not the Bears, and have always said that on here. I’d like GB to be more competitive but I’m glad the Bears are good again. Makes the league better.

2010 is how my ideal NFL season would unfold every time.

This place has never been friendly. You post your thoughts and let the chips fall where they may. You’ve posted some shitty thoughts about certain groups. But they were the right groups from your perspective, so it’s okay. Did America go over the top with his posts at times? Sure he did. But he has the right to wrong just as much as you and I. This isn’t my saloon, however. The Wisemen do what they feel is right. That doesn’t mean I have to agree with their decisions. Just because I think America shouldn’t have been banned doesn’t mean I condone his thoughts.

I agree this place has never been friendly. There are cliques here and there but in general everyone gets beat up from time to time for our opinions. Outside of the Guest posting days there are some lines we didn't cross. They were essentially unwritten rules. Some unwritten rules have been trashed over the past few years. I think America enjoyed seeing how far he could push things.

Well, I was using "friendly neighborhood ____" kinda jokingly. But we've generally been a cut above lowest-common-denominator boards like 4chan and reddit. Things were getting too 4chan/reddity.

We're more like family than any of those places from what I know about them. We give each other shit but whenever anyone needs support we're there. Even the folks you argue with frequently. I think that is one of the biggest things that separates us from other places online.

You should browse 4chan more. Especially the politics forum. You'll see what CH is talkin about.

This is the only board I’m on. I know nothing about 4chan or reddit. I once dated a chick whose last name was Chan. She was a lot of fun. But I digress, this has always been a place where regional guys, who’ve mostly never met, discussed radio, sports and the events of the day. Did things get outta hand once in a while? Sure they did. But we’re a small enough community we just moved in to the next topic at hand. Things seemed to have changed since Hillary lost. Tribalism has taken over and the lighthearted nature of the old board is gone. I pretty much stay out of the political BS save for some snarky one liners that entertain only me.

Does America have any kids?

But really, if you've ever thought about leaving, think more about it.
