I did it once. It's not very interesting after the first one and my feet got kind of cut up. It was more fun to just hang out on the boat.

A few buddies flew out to party on Block Island. First night we stayed at a beach house on Narragansett Bay. The timing was just right that the tide was out. We walked down the beach and waded out into waist deep water with buckets and clamb rakes. It took about an hour to rake up a five gallon bucket full.

We headed back to the house where we took turns shucking. We had quite a feast of quahogs. Broiled and steamed.
