It was quite something for its time. My parents wouldn’t let me watch it.

A friend had a VCR and more lenient parents. She would record it and we’d watch it after school. I’ve watched it since and it holds up well.

Exceptional television program. It's a real pisser they weren't allowed to properly finish the show. I think they tried to years later on some bizarre episode of Benson.

Also Too close for comfort. Which btw was a total Honeymooners rip off but set in early 1980s San Francisco.

Watched the first three seasons last year. The trial of Jessica was probably the high point, but the first two seasons in general were fantastic.

Will major try to schtoop Jodie? Will benson still wipe Billy's ass? Did Jessica kill Peter? Find out in the next episode of soap.

Richard Mulligan was so great on that show . The Exorcist storyline was my favorite . The amazonesque Diana Canova used to give young rogue a boner too
