Snap out of it, Frank. They sound like the worst kind of non-drinkers.

My sister is a fucking flag-waving, Kool-Aid drinking Trumpard. I'll talk to my dad about fishing all day.

What is an acceptable amount of time to stay at a party? Like I said, I have both extremes in my family. My brother was starting to look at his watch and push his kids to say they wanted to leave sometime after 2 hours. He's a universally recognized shitty guest. I got to my second Thanksgiving in Indiana and stayed until midnight but I was not the last guest to leave even though the hosts were obviously exhausted.

My assumption is about 4 hours is a decent amount of time extending up to 6. Once you start to get past the 8 hour time frame you start to wear out your welcome. Under 3 and you are starting to push the bad guest range on the opposite side.

I think it depends on the situation and the Holiday or the event.

Thanksgiving & Christmas should be a longer endeavor, 4-6 hours. Ideally you would have some time to visit before dinner, eat, then have time for a nightcap or downtime after dinner before you hit the road. If its a weeknight event or just a random family get together and nothing real special, then two hours is plenty of time.

I would probably be ready for dolphin to leave in twenty minutes.

My dad always wanted out in about 3 hours. I cud think realize how well know it was until I was talking to my cousins and they asked me how I was going to do an Uncle Squirrel Sr. with where I had parked.

I’m pretty sure i witnessed an in-law tell their small child to beg to go home because it was bed time at this years thanksgiving get together. I’m not a super social guy but if I drag my ass somewhere I’m likely to stick around a while.

and they are both teenaged

Nobody calls him on it anymore as, like I said, its just acknowledged he is a shitty guest. It's to the point no one really even gets up when he leaves, they just say goodbye and go on with the party.

He has a daughter who is an elite soccer player so he misses most things following her around. It really is just an excuse because before that he would miss things to play golf.

I'd say my brother, but that's pretty much a 24/7/365 thing for the last 30+ years. Fortunately my maternal aunts seem to enjoy wielding stilettos in between jokes, so he rarely does anything except sit in the back watching tv with the kids and others who are my aunts' favorite targets.

My older brother's divorce was just finalized last week....no more annoying sister in law ever again!!!

My younger brother's wife is really cool so no probs there.

No annoying relatives on my end now but we have a very small family. My mom was an only child and my dad has a sister...she has 2 kids who now have families. We usually only see one of those families at thanksgiving. 17 people total this year including little kids.

17 isn't that small.

My Thanksgiving was 5 adults, a 4 year old, and our 2.5 month old son. Grilled a 21lb turkey to perfection because 'murica.

I was at my cousins place. She is newly engaged. Her fiancee was gracious and I got along swimmingly with his parents. Great holiday.

Oh and my sister in law was nowhere in sight. Which was nice.

We are driving out to Kansas City this year to spend it with my wife's side of the family. We haven't been out the last two holidays so we pretty much
owe a trip out there this time. No one is really over the top bad. Her dad is left of left wing and one of these people that shares everything he sees on
Facebook that he believes in. I have almost stopped following him completely, fortunately he keeps most of his SJW stuff to himself unless we watch the
news. The 9 hour drive out is always the worst part. This year I insisted we leave on Friday night and stop in the middle of Iowa to split up the trip out.
The trip back isn't nearly as bad because I am just happy to be headed home.
