I would have thought so also. With Harbaugh, it looks like it might be a case that he was a good QB mentorwhen he was coaching Andrew Luck and sprang Kaepernick on the league for the first two years. But other than that, his QBs have been awful.

I believe Alex Smith had a career year under him as well and he coached some bum QB at Stanford into being drafted.

his first year, he started a bit late on the recruiting trail. he got some of hokes recruits to stick around (one of them is gentry their best TE) and got the 5th year sr from iowa...ruddock. who wasn't terrible. The next year he only recruited peters who played last year when okorn got hurt. last year he redshirted 2 of THE guys in mccaffery and milton. and then shea fell in his lap. so its definitely taken some time to get what he's been looking for. okorn and ruddock were 4th/5th year guys who were supposed to give him time to find the right QB talent. speight also emerged and was a hoke recruit.

Their 2019 class is pretty ridiculous. shaping up to be top of the big10 as it stands. with another qb who's supposedly built for the nfl.

Is Ohio State-Michigan even a rivalry anymore? Ohio State has won 14 of the last 15 or something like that.
this is definitely a long period of one sidedness but its happened here and there. michigan won like 16 out of 20 in teh 80's and 90's. the swing will happen eventually.
