Interesting that he said earlier this year that he wouldn't be coaching if Paul and Griffin were still on the team.

He is a helluva coach. Almost made the playoffs last season with a rag tag bunch of castoffs and mid season additions.

Now that he has a full roster they are getting after people.


I don't expect them to stay atop the West all season but they should be top 4 barring injuries to key guys.

Getting it done with 2 rookies that weren't top 10 picks and a guy that one month ago was the Lakers 3rd string Center in his starting lineup.

One helluva coach.

Politics will preclude him from winning coach of the year honors but there isn't a coach in the NBA that has done a better job of coaching this year than Maywood's own Glenn "Doc" Rivers.
