I understand it looks that way to the outside observer. Those who have watched Rodgers for years know those bunny hop passes on 3rd and 2 are no accident though.

Glad he makes it a point to play well in the first quarter of all these recent losses to let us know what he's doing.

Or he's starting to lose it a bit, and/or he signed a big money deal so he has nothing to play for, and/or the knee injury is hampering him a bit.

But you think whatever you want to help you sleep at night.

It's telling that you need to come up with such lame and far fetched theories as to why he's playing poorly. Apparently Nas is not the only Bear fan who still has nightmares over Week 1.

I sleep very well at night. Not so sure you can say the same recently my friend.

What's lame is that you truly believe that Rodgers is tanking. This isn't the California Penal League, FF.

Week 1 is so far back in the rearviewmirror we can't even see it anymore. The Bears are clearly a much different- and much improved- team from that point until now. Very few in the league can accurately say the same thing about their team.

Delusional.

In the second half this season, Rodgers has more TDs, more passing yards, a higher rating, better yards per attempt, better adjusted yards gained per attempt, higher comp%, than he does in the first half this season. He has also thrown 0 second half INTs. If the guy was tanking, as you insanely claim, why would he have better numbers at the end of the games than he does early on?

It's right here for ya, kid; https://www.pro-football-reference.com/ ... lits/2018/

Poor Franklin. Box score scouting means you are not seeing the full nuanced picture like the rest of us.

Explain how a guy can be playing "well" in the first quarter, tanking late in games, yet have better numbers late in games. You claimed this, so prove it.

Guy is sacrificing his numbers this year by purposely tanking so that GB will bring in a real head coach. He's doing this for the fans of GB because he knows they deserve better. What do you do about that kind of selfless leadership? You applaud and appreciate it as a fan.

That really is an interesting question. It would be a much easier answer if McCarthy wasn't such an obvious dope.

They don't have much choice but to try and find a guy that can bring out the best in Rodgers. Maybe some of the "me" factor will shrink with McCarthy gone. They should have seen this coming earlier.

Give me him and I'll try to make it work too. Hell I would let him call his own plays. I'm just not sure he cares enough.

I’m generally not a tanking guy but McCarthy getting fired and the draft pic improving even more unexpectedly makes this a great day.

Then Holocek can go and coach NU.

Pat Fitzgerald would be nuts to ever leave Northwestern and, honestly, Northwestern would be nuts to ever fire Pat Fitzgerald.

Exactly. Aaron Rodgers is gradually transmogrifying into Jay Cutler.

CEO Mark Murphy has never worked a day in his life. The guy should absolutely be canned for thinking he's royalty, when he let his organization crumble.

"The [public perception] of that is, the Packers are really harmed because they don't have an individual owner who can go in and fire somebody. Well, if you look across the league, when those individual owners do things like that, it usually doesn't work out very well. The answer isn't just to fire people midseason, especially, [given that] we've had a run of success." ---- CEO Mark Murphy, Nov. 2016

What a bonehead hypocrite. Murphy is Alfred E. Neuman.

You think it is that hard to replace Fitz? He's good for 6 or 7 wins a year and never gonna finish in the top 15.

  They are a mess. This has been hilarious.

Quote:
Green Bay Packers interim head coach Joe Philbin has fired linebackers coach Winston Moss.

The team announced the news Tuesday evening. “We thank Winston for his contributions to the Packers over the past 13 years,” Philbin said in the statement. “We hope the best for Winston and his family moving forward.”

Did Moss’ tweet lead to his departure? The news comes after Moss tweeted earlier Tuesday about leadership in Green Bay.
Quote:
Ponder this… what Championship teams have are great leadership! Period! It’s not the offensive guru trend, it’s not the safe trend. Find somebody that is going to hold #12 and everybody in this building to a #LombardiStandard! Period! #losingsucks!

— Winston Moss (@Insanecane99) December 4, 2018
“I have serve [sic] the Packers with all my heart and soul,” Moss later wrote. “I’ve given it my all. No regrets!”
