I really believe LaStella was one of the ones that Theo referred to who was unhappy with his role (inconsistent to little playing time), and pretty much asked to be traded. Theo did him a favor where he can play more DH now.

Both the cubs and addy's statements make it seem like both sides are doing their best to fix this situation and grow from it. He is being punished and its taking steps to improve himself while the Cubs are holding him accountable. What do people like Jules want? Do they want him to never play again or just not with the cubs. If he signs with the Sox then why the hell is that better than with the Cubs? I've got an idea. Turn back the clock. Don't sign Heyward, Chatwood, Darvish. Don't give up top 3 prospects in organization Eloy, Torres, Cease. Draft quality guys to replenish system, not stiffs. Use old school baseball fundamental principles, with some sabermetrics, to make sound organizational, and in game decisions. Hire a manager who is a plus to the team, not a spaced out hindrance. Now you've got a World Series contender for many years, and a joy to follow.
