Well said sir

Nobody. Pitched 89 innings over 4 years with the Tigers.

As I said before, theo is scouring the trash heap.

Fuck Kyle Ryan.

You do know that Kyle Ryan was with the Cubs organization all of last year as well, right?

So I think you're the only one who asked who Kyle Ryan is.

no he wasn't. If he was, why did the Cubs just sign him?

Bottom line, he is nobody. Quit acting like everybody knows who he is. NOBODY knows who he is.

He was with the organization at least part of last year, and was probably removed from the 40 man at the end of the minor league season to make room for September call-ups.

An unsigned minor league player is automatically declared a free-agent at 5 PM (Eastern) on the 5th day after the final game of the World Series if the player has spent all or any part of at least seven separate seasons on a minor league roster (including all or parts of any season spent on Optional Assignment to the minors and/or on a minor league disabled list) and/or if the player has been previously released or non-tendered in his career and his present contract (known as a "second contract" even if it's his third or fourth minor league contract) has expired.

This happened to Kyle Ryan this past November 2, when he declared free agency. The Cubs declined to put him on the 40-man.

He wasn't in the Cubs organization in 1994, so you wouldn't have.

ya one in the last 108 years, i'll take it.

windows can close so fast. look at the royals and now the indians.

look at the mets. after they won that pennant 3 years ago it looked like they'd be a juggernaut because of their young pitching for years to come. now that whole rotation is gone or being shopped other than degrom.

Let's see what Theo does.

Murph said they’ll sign Torreyes. It’s been agreed on by both parties. But it’ll be fine at a later time.

Morrow may miss the start of the season after elbow surgery.

Looks like Carl Edwards time has finally arrived for the expectant Cub fans who considered him the future closer, then didn't, then did, then didn't

It is true MANY of us thought Edwards had closer potential when he first came up, but then realization set in that he is only useful when the team is winning by 5 or more runs.

That ship has sailed. He lacks the command of his pitches to be a closer.

not me. I never thought much of him from Day 1. Too skinny. Just another RH reliever.

What was the difference between him and Justin Grimm? He had a good fastball too. Doesn't make him a stopper.

New pitching coach: Tommy Hittovy or some shit

https://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/b ... story.html

And a couple other coaching changes/promotions.

Fuckin Chris Denorfia was assistant to Epstein last year? How did he get promoted so fast? Fuck him.

Cubs are telling teams that Schwarber is not available.

This is just getting fucking stupid. If you don’t care to deal him for a perceived marginal return, fine I guess. But there is no fucking way with the current makeup of the Cubs roster that Schwarber should be “unavailable”.

I don't get it, Epstein sees something nobody else is seeing.

Schwarber and his 25 meaningless solo home runs are invaluable to the team. I'd take fucking Baur for him.

I’d give him and Almora or Happ (preferably) up for Kluber. Gets to go to the AL too.
