Has another team's GM/President ever got more than 2 (or 3) head coaching hires? I believe they have won 5 playoff series in 15 years or so under him. He had the initial team of 'core' players with Gordon, Hinrich, Deng and a few others and then stumbled into the Derrick Rose pick. They haven't found much success in free agency and while they have drafted pretty solid, there hasn't been any elite players outside of Rose for the short period.

Reinsdorf values loyalty over the success of his team, it would seem. Just baffling that the front office stays (even if they try hiding Gar from the media) intact while the team is heading nowhere fast.

If they tank again this season (or try too), they will still probably end up with the 5th or 6th pick in the draft because some of their injured players will come back and get them a few wins. They can't even tank right so you're end up with another nice draft pick, but probably not a difference maker.

Always the same spin with this front office. Skiles, Vinny, Thibs, Fred all "lost the team," but the douchebags who have repeatedly created these situations just keep on keepin' on.

Now we've got another grindy coach and when his contract comes up they can hire another cool coach like Fred to attract free agents and keep the players from playing too hard.

Except players not respecting Fred Hoiberg is more believable than anything to come before this.

Oh I totally believe that about Hoiberg. This just fits the regular pattern of GarPax using the press to bury a guy in the exact same way after they fire him and make themselves look wise and rational for doing so.

If Pax keeps Gar around then the footage of Paxson's shot against the Suns in 1993 should be edited to make it appear that BJ hit that shot.

The best part is picturing Gar trying to draw up plays. He might give the Kings owner who wanted to play with only 4 guys on defense a run for his money. Really glad this organization that preaches rubbish about accountability and character still has him and enabling coward Paxson making decisions!
