I have a ton of near death experience stories that I could tell you from my life and from other people that I know. There is a book called "Encountering Heaven and the Afterlife: True Stories From People Who Have Glimpsed the World Beyond" that had a lot of great stories in it too.

Before one of my friends became a Christian in the late 70s/early 80s he was with some friends who were getting on a single engine plane and he heard a voice say, "You're not supposed to get on here." He wasn't sure what he heard, but he decided not get on just prior to the plane crashing.

Even if you're not a Christian there are plenty of miraculous events that happened on Sept. 11 that a lot of people overlook. People who missed work, had unexpected circumstances or even found their way to stairway B in the trade center that survived. The flip side of things is that while there were a good amount of people who died there were a lot of lives saved on that day too through a variety of means. Even just the unison with which random boats got people out of Manhattan in a short period of time is not something you see every day.
