Not a must win at all. Vikes will lose to Seattle.

This is the most balanced post.

Bears will treat the Rams exactly like they did the indoor playing Vikings.

Problem is that the Rams are more talented and better at every position than either other team except maybe Mack, and given his play over the last month, even there.

Rams lock up Cohen and nobody else on the Bears will make them pay.

Rams 31
Bears 10

The Bears are vastly superior to the Rams at every position except Donald's on defense. It just wont matter much in this one because once Hicks and Mack get tired in the 4Q their whole team falls apart. Mitch will be rusty and this is a game they need Mitch to win.

Bears 3
Rams 35

The Vikings had better receivers and a better QB and the Bears shut the down. Defensively the Bears are clearly better. The Saints and the Chiefs gave the Bears offense the blueprint to beat the Rams. (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky's legs will give the Rams interior fits too.

The Rams don't have a lot to play for in this game either. The difference between a 1 seed and a 2 seed isn't much and even then they have 2 games left that are virtual wins already. The Bears on the other hand need this win in a pretty bad way to solidify themselves as in the playoffs.

If the Saints lose before they play that may play a role in their effort.

Are you sure?

Cousins is starting to look like an incredible waste of money. And I'm worried that Daniels and Witzman will have another game like last Sunday. Mitch could get killed.

Right. That blueprint includes having an MVP caliber QB and putting up 45+ points. The Bears are not going to be able to follow that blueprint this year.

The Bears could put ten defenders on the field and still be better than the Chiefs and Saints D.

I think (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky has propped up the offensive line all season. Cousins looks like the guy I thought he was. Definitely overrated because of pretty stats. I think Goff is the same person.

Stopping Gurley is the key to winning on Sunday. Goff is a different QB on the road. It's unlikely that he can beat you.

It happens. The Cardinals and a couple of other teams slowed him down but they weren't generally good enough to beat the Rams. The formula the Bears used against the Vikings should be effective.

The Rams are way better than the Vikings. The Bears don't have the firepower to survive a shootout with the Rams and don't have the running game/ball control offense needed to keep Goff and Gurley on the sidelines.

LA ranks 4th in the NFL in rushing @ 139.4 yards a game

Minnesota ranks 30th in rushing @ 86.1 yards a game

Yes but I am enjoying this week as Nas compares the two several times and acts like they are even somewhat close in quality.

Because it's the same gameplan that the Saints and Chiefs used. The Bears have better talent on defense to pull it off. Goff will be exposed.

Are you serious? So playing at home in the NFC championship "isn't much" of a difference? The last six NFC champions won at home.

Apparently Mitch didn't say that, and Shane Riordan is all over that reporter for putting that out there.

The 2 seed can still play at home in the NFC championship. They also are still in a good position to be the 1 seed even with a loss.

I mean, of course being at home is an advantage, but I can't imagine it will be a great motivator in this game compared to what would be on the line for the Bears if they won.

Both teams will be pretty equally motivated. This isn't a February NBA game where half the team is gonna show up to the game stoned and not giving a shit.

The Rams have already clinched the playoffs, and only need wins against the Cardinals and 49ers to make sure they have the 2nd seed locked up and even with a loss they would still be tied with the Saints for the 1 seed.

The Bears would only have a 1 game lead on 7th place and possibly only a half game lead in the division. The Bears have significantly more to play for.

Hopefully it is one of those games where a team from a warmer climate walks into a game in the 20s and doesn't put up a great effort.

They are going to focus on stopping Gurley and make Goff make throws, hopefully the wind is swirling. Nagy has been focused on this game since the Vikings, looking past smaller opponents. I think it's going to be a preview of the NFC Championship game.

Determine which team has more to play for and using that to predict probable outcomes is pretty silly, especially when both teams have quite a lot to play for in Week 14.

Both teams will play hard /sheed
