So mike, Michael Beasly dominated with a bunch of no names? I guess you never heard of Will Walker, a projected first round pick in this years draft. Thats ok though because when talking to Sam Smith you mention all the college basketball you watch. SO you must know what your talking about.

I tuned in for a few minutes on my way home from the office. Maybe I'm sleep deprived, but I could swear I heard him argue that Beasley is better than Rose because he averaged more points and rebounds per game. If so,                                          .

I knew it was going to be a great show when in the first couple minutes, Mike touted how "this was his time", i.e. a "big story". Then bragging about his NBA knowledge.

I will give him credit though for having Sam Smith, Decorsi and others on to discuss it rather than talking about Connie Francis though

That makes sense. Robbie Gould is more important than Urlacher cuz Gould scores more points.

What a fucking idiot.

Well, we all should realize Pappys intense prep for the show makes him that smart, I suppose he woke up, Bebe told him the Bulls won the lottery, he looked at the paper and saw Beasleys stats and he couldnt wait to share his expert insight.

North puts 0% effort into his show, it shows every time he opens his mouth.

I give North credit - at least he's consistent. D. Rose was forced to go to Simeon because North cut him from the Notre Dame JV team. He simply wasn't good enough!

North said something about how much college basketball he watches, yet his "analysis" consisted entirely of reading Beasley's box scores from each game over the air to KC Johnson.

Mike is unquestionably my guy and he was right on comparing Rose to Toby Bailey this morning. Indubitably, Mike was correct in remembering how highly touted Bailey was. That Sporting News gentlemen, quite naturally, had it wrong.

General Manager Michael Jordan tried to get Bailey back from Europe but was unsuccessful to some degree.

Had to love the "not a good defensive player" because of the lack of steals.

Thats a great High School coach Tom Les has got their.

I think we can now officially call Tom Les a recruiting whore for bringing North in to coach.

"Kids, you gotta get steals, because dats how they determine if you are a good d player or not. Don't worry about defending the ball and denying an entry pass, just go for the steal. If you go for the steal and get one, you got 2 points! if you miss don't worry, someone else can cover up your mess and you can blame it on the next guy who didn't switch over."

"Then the other benefit of the steal attempt is that you are all ready for the cherry pick on the other end when the guy misses."

I like how North tried to downgrade Rose by comparing his assist stats to Jason Kidd.

I also like how he said Mayo had to go to college. I hate when guys like North and Murph misinterpret and misstate the rule as you are “forced” to go to college for a year. Simply not true.

It sounds like Pappy has to qualify every single one of his thoughts. "I know dis cuz I'ze watch..." "I'ze looked up da stats so don't question me."

What good radio host does that? You know if a guy knows what he's talking about.

Pappy qualifies every thought because he knows he has no idea what he's talking about.

I heard that Toby Bailey comment also and that had to be the stupidest thing I've heard on radio in quite some time.

Mike's insight and understanding of the game and player development gathered from over a year of coaching high school athletes of comparable age is precious.

Mike doesn't know how smart fans are today. Pappy doesn't know that people have the same access to stats and that people watch the games.

Rock prints out stuff from the internet that we all see as well. Pappy thinks he's getting classified info that only a radio host can get. That's cuz he doesn't care to use the internet.

I just looked at Rose's game by game log.

Memphis blew out so many teams that they really didn't need him down the stretch a lot. He's so unselfish anyway. He's not gonna pad his stats. He can score if you need him to.

Plus he was an 18 year old freshman. He averaged 15, 5, 4. Shot 47%. He averaged 20 ppg in the tourney. Calipari said he could have averaged 30 points if he wanted to.

Deron Williams, his junior year at Illinois, averaged 13, 7, 5. Look at how he scores in the NBA.

Yeah. You're actually right Rodeo & Bagels. He does know. That's another reason why he has to qualify everything. He just sounds like an idiot when he does that.

Yeah and then he blames callers for not calling right away to CORRECT HIM when he doesn't know that Barack Obama's mom is deceased!
