The Nate acquired C Yan Gomes from the Indians for OF Daniel Johnson, RHP Jefry Rodriguez and a player to be named later.

That better be one hell of a player to be named later. The Injuns have traded Gomes and Mejica. Not sure who the hell is going to catch for them. psst how about Wellington Castillo??

Dipoto is taking a flamethrower to his team. After he fleeces the Mets he's gonna trade Jean Segura to the Phillies for JP Crawford and it sounds like Carlos Santana. Dipoto is taking back some vets with big salaries (Santana, Bruce) to get better prospects. I like it and he can always move them in another deal. It makes the Narvaez deal all the more confusing for them.

They’ve been targeting young, high ceiling players and but they traded a solid reliever for a 27 yr old singles hitter who can’t play a position. That’s confusing.

Ok. We just disagree on the lefthanded catcher's value. I view it as a better asset to flip than the solid reliever.

The first deal is done. The Mets get 2B Robinson Cano, CL Edwin Diaz and $20M in exchange for OF Jay Bruce, RHP Anthony Swarzak, RHP Gerson Bautista and prospects Jarred Kelenic and Justin Dunn. The deal will save the M’s roughly $64M.

Unbelievable. Jerry Dipoto is having a very good day. This could go down as one of the worst trades in history.

Sounds like the Mariners have traded Jean Segura to the Phillies for Carlos Santana.

The 2nd deal is done. The Phillies get SS Jean Segura, RHP Juan Nicasio, and LHP James Pazos for SS JP Crawford and 1B Carlos Santana.

Busy day for Dipoto. This was a very good trade too. Crawford has a ton of talent and just needs the opportunity to play everyday and he'll get it in Seattle. He shouldn't have a difficult time moving Santana if he chooses to do so.

I'd imagine they'll quickly look to get rid of Santana.

I was just wondering and may not be until next year, where do you guys think Harper and Machado eventually end up.

If I had to choose, would say 1 goes to the Phillies, seems like they have a lot of money to spend, maybe Machado there, and Harper not sure, only 1 heard that could be a possibility is the Giants for Harper

A one year deal for his Age 26 season, while supremely stupid, would look more like $40MM+

They gave up RHP Luke Weaver, C Carson Kelly, Inf Andy Young and a Competitive Balance Round B draft selection.

Yowzers. That feels like a lot. If they sign him to an extension it’s fine but if he walks after 1 season that’s a bad deal.

When did they start trading draft picks?

The competitive balance picks are the only ones that can be traded.

When Pollock signs with another team the D’Bags are going to have 7 picks in the first two rounds. Sheesh

Eovaldi resigns with the Red Sox

Terms aren’t known but it’s going to be an insane crazy overpay.

4yr/$67.5M

Ouch mother fucking babe. Recency bias strikes again.

Why aren't they trying to trade him to the Sox? The only thing that would make Kenny nut faster than acquiring Puig would have been drafting Kyler last year.
