He came to our off season work out twice. That's select company.

You gotta figure Hahn used Jerry’s influence with the veterans committee to more than likely get him into the Hall of Fame as a bargaining chip with Nova’s agent to get him to sign here right ?

Then Hahn will just trade him for the next Eloy! Great move!

Is the rotation set or will they look to bring in an additional veteran? Obviously, hard to get excited about the current rotation, it would have to be one of the worst in baseball.
1) Rodon
2) Lopez
3) Giolito
4) Nova
5) Covey/young prospect

I don't think it is set but maybe they didn't like the numbers being thrown out by agents for good but not great pitchers in FA.

Cease is most likely to make an MLB appearance next year. Dunning isn't far behind. I think there were a couple of guys at AAA who were also pushing for a chance.

My guess is they will sign another pitcher late in free agency at their price.

Be interesting who the "young pitcher" they traded for Nova.

We haven't heard who they have given up yet, but it's nice to see them acquire a bona fide MLB player instead of some scrap heap guy, to whom they're going to hope that Cooper can teach the cutter.

Tell me the Sox have a good to really good every day lineup and I would just about guarantee that they would make the playoffs. They'll get the pitching right.

If Cleveland decides to trade Kluber, this will be wide open for the Sox to win the division.

If they're smart, they will. The window done closed. They were the weakest playoff team last year and they've only gotten weaker losing 3 more quality guys to FA.

As long as it isn't a sideways move.

It was a 19 year old who was in the Dominican League. Bum? who knows. It's more like Pittsburgh got an upgraded version of a bucket of balls. So no, not a sideways move.

He dominated the Dominican League but I don't know what that means. Maybe that he dominated other 17 and 18 yr olds?

Fernando Tatis Jr would be "part 2." The lame joke you were trying to make should have been "Fernando Tatis part 3"

Have a nice warm glass of bleach with your lunch today.

Um......They did lose 100 games last year did they not? They have a shit outfield, bad catching, and do not even have three decent hitters.

Now they trade for Yonder Alonso. Could mean Abreu is gone. If not an upgrade at DH.
