The Bears should bring him in to "consult" because of the possibility that they will play the Vikings back to back weeks.

This is just foolish. Comparing Cousins to Keenum. We get it; you hate the Vikings and are ecstatic the Bears are in first. Great! But Keenum doesn't hold a candle to Cousins. And there isn't some big group of Vikings fans that think the issue is Cousins. DeFilippo has gotten stupidly 'cute' over the past 5 or 6 weeks. He sees the things McVay and Nagy successfully pull off and says 'personnel be damned we can do the same!' He has no idea how to conduct a balanced offense and he has no idea how to take advantage of his personnel. "We have three pretty decent receivers that excel in the slot...how about we run 30 yard flies every play and try the back shoulder two plays every set of downs!" Dalvin Cook was targeted 17 times in the last two weeks ...he only had a couple more rushing attempts than that. He isn't Tarik Cohen! Let him get back to what made him extremely successful last year to start his career. BAD PLAY CALLING.

It could also be that Cousins isn't good.

Yeah there is always that too.

Weren't they talking about DeFilippo getting opportunities to be a head coach a few weeks ago? I guess he's very available for interviews now.

It looks like Wentz is out this week for the Eagles against the Rams. Panthers play the Saints. Redskins are on QB4.

The Vikings should be in the catbird seat for the #6 spot by the end of the weekend.

In fact, the universe of NFC teams is probably set right now. The only spots I can see possibly changing are the Bears and Cowboys.

The Bears may be resting starters in week 17 too but the Vikings may clinch by then anyways.

People who think Cousins is the problem are the same variety of idiot who wanted Kyle Orton back over Jay Cutler.

Dude is a QB you can with with. Sorry your OC was a moron, your RBs are trash, and your defense has regressed.

It's still possible that week 17 will matter.

I think you are missing the rising Cowboys. They are only a game behind the Bears and I think someone said they have the tiebreaker. It's a pretty big week for Cowboys and Bears. We need the Colts to come up big this week.

#4 v. #3 is huge. I don't want to play the Seahawks right now and would gladly welcome whatever washes ashore at #6.

Vikings are going to lose to Miami and then the scenario every Bears fan is afraid of is going to begin to materialize.

Afraid?

I hope for a shot at those dixless chumps in the playoffs. Beating them twice this year would put a real exclamation point on the season.

Cowboys have improved but they've also been playing at home.

I'm agnostic on Cousins but it looks like the defense gave up one touchdown more per game this year than they did last year. Of course you'd expect this highly compensated QB to overcome that challenge but he obviously fell short by only matching last year's Vikings offensive output. Idk if he sucks but at the very least he fell way short of expectations this year, to state the obvious.

The Bears offense didn't exactly blow the door open against the Vikings defense in either game. He just finds a way to lose against good teams. This has been the case his entire career.

Rather astonishing that Hugh Jackson is still considered for coaching positions given his performance on Hard Knocks, general effectiveness, and player reactions.
