what's this talk of "invaders" ?? how do we know that ye olde england wasn't having a birth rate crisis and was inexorably going to self destruct unless they got an influx of danes to enrich them with the infinite benefits of diversity? it coulda been tough sledding in ancient denmark and i, for one, find this label of "invaders" to be quite offensive given that people watching filth like this could end up being biased towards danish dreamers like, say, The Greatest Striker That Ever Lived, Nicklas Bendtner.

Thanks for the heads up on this, about to finish Dark and need a good binge watching in between sports for the holiday. Anyone else have suggestions for shows after this one, I know their is a netflix thread but asking here because this is my kind of show. I've already ran through Peaky Blinders, Ozark, Mindhunter, Dark, Maniac, I started Vikings a few years back is it worth starting up again. Any other show suggestions along the lines of this one?

Vikings is like the newtork version of Last Kingdom.

Not bad and depending on where you watched to it could be worth your while.

yea first 2 eps were a bit slow, but then it got going. I think I'm through 5 episodes and it's been great the last few.

I absolutely love this show. I am just about done with Season 2. I am a huge British history buff, so period shows like this really spark my interest in that time period. I love the interplay of foreign invasion and religion, which has been a constant struggle throughout British history.

I'm one episode away from finishing season 3. The final scene with Alfred and Uhtred was one of the best of the entire series. Loved that Alfred made amends at the end and admitted that Uhtred basically carried his ass and that he would've never been king without him.

Then his Caller Bob wife of course steps in and ruins everything.

Soprano's = most overrated show in the history of TV. Scenes with the psychologist were downright unwatchable
The Wire = tried it, but got bored and gave up during season 1
