It would have been better if they just left the mustache but didn't explain it.

I have a had time believing Snyder's cut is better than Whedon's.

You do realize the Superman CGI scene was directed by Whedon?

Whedon filmed a few reshoots, and then helped to edit those scenes into the film. That's it.

I don't think it was his fault the studio is ran by a bunch of morons. Snyder is not a good director.

Watchmen director's cut is one of the best comic book movies I've ever seen.

It’s a frame by frame recreation of the graphic novel. Not saying that isn’t difficult to re-create and shows he has some level of talent, but it certainly shows a lack of creativity at best.

I like the dark tone DC was going for. Sometimes the peppy/happy tone Marvel does, kinda gets old. But, you can not have an entire movie that is just depressing. I wish they would of explored some villains rather than Gods.

Well DC isn't finished making movies, so no need to use the past tense. Pretty sure Aquaman doesn't have any Gods in it.

The Joaquin Phoenix Joker movie won't have any Gods.

The next solo Batman movie is rumored to be a take on early Batman in Gotham. So no Gods.

Darkseid does need to show up at some point tho.

Yeah the scenes in Atlantis look especially great.

If anything, I'm confident James Wan has created one of the more visually pleasing comic book movies we've seen.

Yeah, Black Panther was like that as well. I know it had tie ins for the Marvel universe, but I didn't like it as part of the story. Thought it was kinda made as a stand alone movie to acquire a new audience.

Extended trailer.

This movie really does look amazing.

I'm legitimately hyped.

Recasting Batman isn't a new venture for Warner Brothers.

Henry Cavill isn't done with superman. WB just doesn't have any plans right now, and he's going to start filming Witcher soon in the meantime.

Makes it sound like the latest King Kong - a fun action movie that doesn't take itself seriously. I'm suddenly interested.

Watched it today, thought it was meh.... Wished I went to Spiderman into the Spiderverse after watching it.

Was DCs version of Black Panther.

It was cheezy with beautiful CGI at the same time. Some bad casting as well. And they really didn't explain some things.

Edit: Outside of mentioning Aquaman defeating Steppenwolf briefly, there seemed to be no connection to the DCU.

Had nothing to do today so went to see this. I don't watch these superhero movies.

It was pretty fun. Reminded me of one of those old 1930s serials.

It was about 1/2 hour too long. But otherwise it was good.

I thought it was great.

The last third of the movie is perfect, and I'd put the underwater battle at the end up against any major fight scene the MCU has ever done.

i enjoyed it for what it was. there were some tonal shifts that were odd (like the one liners that didn't live within the context, since it was never set up as a comedy/adventure) but there were some "romancing the stone" and "indiana jones" elements that made it cool. the underwater world was incredible. and amber heard was pretty fucking hot.

momoa proved he could carry a movie, and i liked the family story. it was a bit too long, and wan's pacing wasn't always great. but overall, i thought it was good fun.

:D :D :D out of :D :D :D :D
