I heard an interview from Saturday with Alonso where he said he would be spending time with Machado during the holidays and that while he will respect Manny's decision he will be pushing him to play for the Sox. I think that is a pretty strong force continuing to advocate for us, where other teams are now left to only stand on their offer. I also expect he will be talking to his sister about the situation.

My guess is that he really wants to play for the Yankees but that they have given him the worst offer of the group. That is why he needed the holidays to do some soul searching. A nice holiday with family may be just the event to turn the tide in our favor.

Sort of tough to bang baseball Annie's while your sisters husband is around. I don't see Alonso being on the team as much of an appeal to him.

Some cultures may not have an issue with it. In fact our culture used to be one. MANY love the bat flips. Especially our kids and grandkids.
