I dunno, but I hope that caller runs into Mike in a few months when North himself doesn't have a show anymore.

It sounds like the simple answer is "Yes a lot of people laugh at him," but this sounds like it will be an interesting reply from Mackey.

With the topic of Obama's mother, why didnt the producer get him to put the train back on the tracks? There's other AM frequencies where people can hear political talk. I'm not saying 100% sports all the time, but politics should never be a topic on the air on am670 or am1000.

I heard the guy call in about the "bet" that he and a friend had. His friend said that Mike North had a degree from Harvard (the university) and just "dumbed-down" his show to appeal to the "regular" guy and the caller said that Mike IS legitimately the way he is on the air and he's just a regular guy.
I think Mike, Fred and me were all confused by this caller.... I was waiting for a "is this guy fuckin serious" from Fred. I thought they saved the moron calls for Boers and Bernstein.
Personally, I think calling Mike North a regular guy is an insult to the intelligence regular guys.

It was Mike reading a text message from someone suggesting they stop talking so much Bull. Mike then offered the gem Mac heard...very close to the "Kiss my ass... when you get your own show, then you can talk about whatever you want"

Fred then proceeded to say, "Well, we have talked about other things. We talked about Ozzie. . ." No more examples were furnished and they moved on with the riveting Email/Text reading segment.[/i]

I heard it...he definitely responded to a caller or an email by saying..."when you get your own show...you can talk about whatever you want". Something to that extent. I don't remember hearing the "kiss my ass" part.

If I am remembering correctly...it was in response to criticism about 2 full days of Bulls coverage...and requesting he talk more baseball...or close to that.

I was still a little "foggy" driving in to work today. It happens.
