I think that it started to shift once the masses encouraged bannings. Being able to silence anyone who annoys you can become addictive.

Editing a post is annoying. Especially when you have to edit multiple posts in a thread to remove a word or 2. Then you'll have guys like 312 or Ike post the same thing repeatedly in an attempt to force you to ban them. There is no excitement in that. It's unnecessary work created by people who know better.

Disagree. It's been fantastic especially with the Bears doing well. Hell even Frank and I are getting along, sort of.

If you want the board to be negative, there are threads and posters you can find who are just that.

There are always going to be a few asshats here and there, but for the most part, this place always has been great and always will be great.

Ya i would never take on a job to moderate any of this. It's like a 2nd job + daddy day care. And you don't get paid (I don't think) .

Not really at all.

These guys do a pretty good job moderating the board.

No one is forcing anyone to be emotionally invested in this place.

312 is lost in his feelings at the moment because his neural synapses are operating faster than he's used to due to substance abuse withdrawal.

This place is a macrocasm of every thread on here. If you like post if you do not like it don't post. The sections i like i post in and the ones that i don't like i don't post in.


I think the one problem that the guys that run it will have going forward is mostly related to attrition and replenishment. As guys stop posting on here (for whatever reason) replacing them. I presume most found this place via sports talk radio. Sports talk radio spurred its growth. Radio personalities don't use sites like this as much as they used to and hence you don't get the sort of free advertisement like you used to. As such its difficult to get new converts I'd imagine.
