Tulowitzki to the Yankees to play SS. May not be nothing or it could mean Machado isn't going there.

I am gonna guess, he doesn't sign with being told he is starting. And they have too much depth at 3B and 2B for him or anyone else to slide to another position. Maybe this is why Machado unfollowed the YES network....LOL

He's getting league 555k minimum from Yankees. Toronto owes him 38 million includes a 4 million boyout in 2021. Yankees don't care about his feelings. He will be a company man with Toronto paychecks coming in.

It means Yankees got scared Manny would take them up on their comparatively shitty offer and made a move and rescinded it.

I agree, I don't see Tulo as some type of super sub.

If he hits he'll play a lot with the Yankees, if he doesn't he won't. Joe Maddon isn't managing the Yankees.

There’s no way the Yankees can see Tulo as an option at SS. They’re probably hoping he’s a DH/bat off the bench. He’s 34 years old with an injury list as long as my......well it’s long.

#1 Maddon doesn't stick with guys who arent hitting more than any normal managers. In fact he changes things up line up wise more than most
#2 Yankees stuck with Greg Bird for months of him hitting UNDER .200

Other than that, good post.

That really depends on how much time Didi is gonna miss.

Looks to me like Tulo is Opening Day shortstop.

But you said he sticks with bad hitters and the Yankees dont, but the Yankees definitely do.

Your Maddon hate is clouding your thoughts here.

I still see the "if he doesnt, he wont" and Greg Bird's 2018 still exists.

Anyway, I cant imagine the Yanks going with Tulo at SS defensively for tooo long.

i don't see any time offering Manny a 10 year contract. Washington may do that with Harper out of desparation, but Manny....no

As far as I know, Segura can play 2nd, not 3rd. Still a hole at 3rd and now a young Hernandez is what? Traded?

Good.

7yr deal, $150 million. $24 million in year one, $28 million in year two with an opt out, $30 million in year three with an opt out, $17 million years four thru seven with another opt out in after year 5.

I like it, but He's going to get more than $150 million

Whatever. Philly will outbid that. You don't want him for 10 years? Then you get him for 0 years.

It seems Manny doesn't care about the $$ but rather the team. Looks like he's going to go w/ the Yankees. If that doesnt happen, then the Phillies. I would be surprised if he signed w/ the WSox. I don't think he wants to go thru another rebuild year after being part of that terrible Orioles team.

Franco to 3b. Seguara to 2b is what Ive seen.

Like I said, a hole at 3rd. Hernandez at 2nd ISN'T a hole. Logically, Philly would want Manny to play 3rd because it makes the infield markedly better. The moves you suggest makes the infield marginally better.

Im not suggesting it. Comcast philly or something is.

But with how much Machado has talked about wanting to play SS, I just think that will be part of the deal.

Roasted for what? No team in their right mind would give either of them 10 years. Hell, no one should give them more than 5.

Wait, you guys now think Bruce is breaking stories rather than being a stooge for chicago ownership?

Come on people, "Mr. Reinsdorf" knows who to call in the media when he wants to send out a backchannel message. If not Reinsdorf, Levine is someone's patsy in sending a message
