but it was a positive to bring in non-hockey casual fans. sort of like what the NBA does w/ it's marketing.

It wasn't that bad, it came during an odd transition time in the Western conference with traditional powers like the Hawks/Kings fading to bad.

it completely undermines the credibility of fairness. No team...in their first year should be given such a beneficial expansion draft to bolster up a team that makes the finals.

It was marketing...it's also borderline fraudulent. No way to spin or sell this. it was bad.
