Who ya crappin?! To each their own but if duplicative topics was why you stopped reading the Economist how do you survive reading the Daily Herald?!

The DH is horrible. It has become a bunch of AP and Reuters stories. But I still like the sports beat reporters, and I enjoy the local transit stories and stuff about new developments and businesses.

The Economist has great content, but you can only read the same opinion about Brexit so many times.

Exactly.

Ah yes, I'm exhausted reading about Brexit. However, the Business, Finance, Europe and US sections are excellent.

My parents still get the Daily Herald. I was by their house the other morning and brought it into their house from the end of the driveway. This thing is like a pamphlet now for the weekday delivery. I don't know how anyone can justify spending money on it anymore.

Buying a subscription for GroupOn is the only way that makes sense. I got 6 months for $25 for my mom and even that's a rip-off. But she oddly enjoys reading about Cook County pensions and other absolutely stupid northwest suburbs "news"

For years I had a full blown Trib subscription but have since switched to just the Sunday edition - which gives you digital access to the rest of the week. I enjoy the hard copy with coffee on Sunday morning and the digital is perfect for travel. I think it's around $10 per month but they charge extra for "premium editions" so it averages out to about $14. Also, my wife got a deal on SI ($20 for 1 year) but I rarely read it beyond the seasonal previews.

I have a digital Chicago Tribune subscription that runs about $23 a month.

The local newspaper runs $132 a year.

Other than that, I do pay for WSJ, which is probably the only news org that is worth it.

If you are getting the Athletic for primarily the Hawks, it is not worth it.

It was pre-Laz. The day they announced he was going there, I canceled my subscription.

I'm also on the Sunday paper/digital edition plan. It's nice to support a local paper and it's really all you need. For a national perspective I also subscribe to The Atlantic, although my wife pays for that so I'm not sure how much it costs.

Some of the older guys may remember, but if you hit the change return button on the trib/times newspaper box with the heel of your palm real hard while pulling the handle, the door would pop open. This was great if you had a paper route but ran short. Figured it was all coming out of the company's dime anyway.

I started stealing content at an early age.

Pre teen Nas would buy 1 Sunday paper and remove the rest so he could sell them.

Zero. Get local paper and trib online. Just delete cookies after free stories, and start over. Missing few sections online in sure, but save big money. Use adblocker browser.

Well after 25 years of being a paper subscriber, my paper DH subscription ended on Saturday. I moved to digital only. The monthly delivery cost was up to $72 for a paper that never gets to my driveway in time (5:30). The quality of the paper is crap with editorial errors on a daily basis.

I moved to all the digital format, which is decent. The cost is $99 per year. Since my paper always came too late, I was using the digital version on most days anyway.

I've heard it's good, but they employ Tim Graham so they won't get a dime of my money.

My only one is Rivals, I think I pay $50 a year so i can post on the college basketball board. I bring the lone voice of DePaul to the conversation.

Great stuff, daily.

The coverage for all leagues and most teams is phenomenal.

yep, but like I said, employing Tim Graham is a deal breaker for me and should be for any Patrick Kane fan.
