LOVED This show!

Just finished the initial season, and I am truly impressed with the DC Channel's work.

Raw, unformulaic, movie-like. Did I mention RAW? Actually, RAW AS SHIT!

Anybody else see this?

Getting my money’s worth from HBO Max catching up with DC stuff. Gone through the first six shows and it’s certainly good enough to keep watching. Grimdark is pretty overdone, but if you can’t do it in a Batman adjacent show where can you do it?

Finished S1, and it continued to be above average. Really enjoyed Jason Todd but Hawk and Dove suck.

above average doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement.

I've been watching Doom Patrol. Pretty good so far, I'm like 5 eps in.

My son used to watch the kids cartoon version. He's almost 9. Is this safe enough for kids?

Reading reviews on a couple parent sites...maybe not.

It’s a bloodbath. I guess it’s “just” people getting shot and beat up mostly, but it’s the blood spurting and bone crunching kind, not the pg movie clean kills. The 4 exploding heads happen off screen at least. You come back and see the headless bodies though. Robin says “Fuck Batman” in the first episode he they swear all the time.

yea, I've read its nothing like the cartoon and very dark/mature.

Has your son watched the Young Justice cartoon line? I just started it, so far really good.

He's been binging Flash...that's probably more his speed right now...although the Jurassic Park movies are just about his favorite thing.

We just watched most of the All Hail King Julien series together. That's fucking hilarious.
