He missed 5 out of 25 kicks in 2016 and 3 extra points in 2017. Nothings screamed "very good" about Parkey. Pace was a fool for signing him to a large contract based on his average at best stats.

You’re cherry picking stats because there is no logical counter argument to what i said. Before this season Parkey was top 5 in fg% for qualifying kickers in his career. There’s no argument he was anything other than very good.

If memory serves correct, Parkey missed around 11 kicks this season. He hit the upright 6 times missing and missed an additional 5 kicks outright.

As a former center/long snapper back in my glory days, it got me thinking...

If a center snapping the ball makes 11 muffed snaps - whether it is a regular, shotgun or long snap - he would not be back next season. Period. End of sentence. New paragraph.

In fact, the center would never have had the opportunity to achieve 11 total bad snaps. He would have been replaced or cut after the third or fourth.

Nothing personal against Cody Parkey, but there is zero chance he returns next season.
