Same thing with the children's cleft palate charity that plays "You are So Beautiful." I'd be more likely to donate if they didn't make the commercials so mawkishly manipulative.

The ones for the Shriner's Hospital are better, IMO. Speaking of which, while watching the Bears game I saw Alec from those commercials in one of the suites. I forget who they were showing, but he was in the background.

i knew i saw him! yes, he was next to goodell.

shriner's hospital commercials are definitely preferable but there are some cable stations where the entire commercial break is an amalgam of those "please give..." ads.
