It takes a certain type of man to appreciate Circus Circus.

Sounds like we're aiming for a CFMB Vegas trip in 2020.

Why are you paying for drinks in Vegas?

When I'm not gambling, I enjoy walking the Strip and people watching with a beer in hand.

I grab a drink at one of the convenience stores or Breeze (don't shame me) when walking around the strip.

There are times you have to pay for it.

Yeah it’s a well done hotel with great rooms. He likes Cosmo, and it’s in the same complex. As a non smoker, I’d stayed at Vdara. Then just gambled at Aria.

Vdara is super nice, if you're into the boutique style. The rooms are swanky enough, if on the bit small side. Though I'm sure #fastertrack could find a suite there.

Supposedly the casinos are making it a lot harder to get free drinks now.

What are typical table minimums for certain places these days? Big shooter or not I am not probably throwing $25 a hand for three straight days.

Depends on weekday vs. weekday.

$5-$10 tables can still be found at the less glamorous casino floors.

There are places on the strip that have $5 tables during the day and a bit into the night. Cromwell is one that comes to mind. Probably bumps up to $10 at night. All of the tables aren't at the low limits, but there are some.

Most name places you're looking at $15 and higher during prime time.

Yeah I like the blackjack tables at Aria. Cosmo not so much. I actually remember when they first opened it about 8 years ago. To me if I have my druthers I'd rather stay on that part of the strip. I stayed a Bally's once. Never again. Damn room gave me pink eye.
Thought the room was good for the price but then that shit kicked in once I got to the crib.

O'Shea's has $5 and $10 tables every night, I believe.

Paris has $5 tables on weeknights. Casino Royale also.

Others mentioned Cromwell. Harrah's maybe too?

,Aria Bellagio Cosmo all have $100 minimum in the "jungle" areas. High limit is $500. Circus Circus (my spot) $10 min.

Blackjack speaking. I don't mess with craps

We’ve found some $5 craps tables at Harrah’s. I play $10 pass line with odds and a few $24 place bets. My buddies stick to $5 bets. Mirage is often $15 minimums, and that’s gets expensive real fast.

I've had the worst luck at craps as well. BJ is my main table game.

My Vegas is usually evenly split between BJ, sportsbook and eating.

Actually they have $25 tables at the three I named but I also remember being in there and only seeing $100 min out in the general area. I hate messing with anything less than a Quarter on blackjack because you have those silly fucks that want to jump in out the shoe all the time. Can't get on a good run with guys trying their luck with $20

The pool is fucked up though. The way they built it the glass from the building acts like a magnifying glass. It gets hot as fuck out there.

some good suggestions here. Leaning towards Cosmo with the balconies being key, but will take a look at Aria and a couple others as well.

Table limits don't matter to me, I don't play any of those games. Only poker for me and I'm not really into it anymore. I'll probably play a tournament or two just for fun, maybe a sit n go. Doubt I'll go for the cash game. Wife likes poker and slots, but she's on a very short leash when it comes to slots. Let's just say she likes them a little too much. I'll probably end up playing a little poker and then betting on some random NBA games..might even be there during the playoffs.

Thinking about seeing a show, probably Cirque O show. I saw Mystere 20 years ago. Is O any good? Any other shows that are must sees?

What about attractions in town that are must see? Any exhibits etc worth seeing?

Food wise, I'll do a bunch of research and try and find some really good places. Will probably try In n Out just to confirm its nowhere near as good as Red Hot Ranch.

In n Out was completely overrated, but I did run into Anthony Rizzo there.

Brunch at Bellagio is pretty great.

damn, just checked the rates at Cosmo, that shit ain't cheap. $400 per night on the weekends. can get it for less than $200 if we stay mid week which is a possibility since we're taking a whole week for the trip. Can always go to St George on the weekend and then to Vegas mid week.

Aria appears to be a little cheaper.

Anyone know a spot to get better rates than what is offered on the hotel websites?

If you want a jacuzzi in the room, New York New York has the best deal on those rooms.
