***SPOILERS***

End of Season 1 was a little ham fisted and smelled like a rewrite to leave the option of bringing both characters back.

Still one of the single best TV seasons you're going to find anywhere. Acting throughout was top notch.

After the laughably bad kickoff to S2, I bailed by the third episode. I shall wait for the early returns on S3 before I dare to start it.

My wife told me I watched Season 2, but it was so unremarkable that I borrowed the dvds from the library, watched the first 2.5 episodes and returned it to the library early just so I wouldn't have to watch the box collect dust for 3 weeks.
I don't know if Vince Vaughn was more laughably terrible in TD S2, or that complete piece of shit straight to VOD movie "Term Life" from 2016. If you ever see Term Life on cable, stop what you're doing and watch 10 minutes of it. The definition of funbad, especially the fake lettuce he's rockin'.

I've never seen any of those. I'm obviously in the minority... just being honest though. Didn't know who he was.

I've never heard of him either.

Season 2 wasn't THAT bad. The shoot out sequence halfway through was awesome.

I like Vince Vaughn.

Still, I like to laugh at the progression from skinny, pretty boy in Rudy to balding, dad body guy today

Yes, I don't think the happy ending was necessary.

My issue with Season 2 was that it tried too hard to be deep and philosophical.

Season one was good though the last episode was disappointing. I stopped season 2 a few episodes in because it was dog shit. I am trying season three.

Um, Mahershala Ali?

Yeah, no. What has he been in? Several of you mentioned him and if he is the main guy in the trailer...I don't think I've ever seen him in a thing before.

He won the academy award for best actor in 2016. #HawaiYouVibe.

Yeah man...I'm not 50 years old and in a loveless marriage. I don't watch award shows.

He was in House of Cards, Luke Cage season 1, and won Best Actor for something called Moonlight.

I'm with imu here, never seen any of those. I will tune in though in 20 minutes and see what's up.

Okay.. thought you really lost it. Douchebag actually liked it. He's the only person I've seen like it.

Pilot was pretty slow moving but looks promising. Starting the second episode now.

S3 is pretty good.

S2 sucked. I watched probably every episode but 2 or 3, but after the first 2 eps it was a fall asleep show for me (i.e. I would put it on, watch a few minutes, fall asleep, and never watch the part I missed again). I watched the final episode in fast-forward mode.

I'll be watching for sure but likely won't get to it until middle of the week. I'll try to steer clear of here to avoid any spoilers.

holy shit, i had no idea that was vince vaughn. that character always bugged me because of this scene

look at the speed vince vaughn is running at right before he is hit by Rudy... not exactly the speed you'd like to see when running a rb toss

I enjoyed the start of the show but it's pretty clear they were aiming for "pretty good" and not "great" after the season 2 debacle and I think they'll hit that target.

Something pretty off about Cousin Dan.

it looks like a HB option and he is looking downfield for a WR but I cannot believe ND was that innovative back in the day

only an idiot would watch S2 after the dishonest bait and switch red herring fest the show went for in S1. You'd have to be certifiably retarded to give S3 a shot.

I enjoyed the first 2 episodes.

There's enough mystery to keep me interested and there isn't a terrible character like Vince Vaughn to ruin every scene.

Caught episode 1 last night and it was quite good. Lots of character development. I like Ali a lot as an actor so I know he will knock it out of the
park. Possibly one of the best parts of the episode was closing credits with that cover version of Kenny Rogers "Just Dropped In". I'll try to find
the link to the song. I picked up on the lyrics right away, probably because of all the times I have seen The Big Lebowski. I see T-Bone Burnett
is the guy in charge of music and he is awesome. Not sure this is the exact version but you get the idea.... great stuff

I enjoyed them as well. As usual, lots of potential explanations (i.e. red herrings). But the use of the three time periods has been well done.

This season has creepy faceless straw dolls. It's already better than season two.
