I am actually hoping the Sox do sign Machado to a 10yr deal. Worked out great for all the teams in the past.

The Sox would be getting all the prime years for Machado that those previous contracts didn't get and fewer of the declining years. Maybe I misunderstood you and your argument is that Machado is going to suck from 26-31.

I guess maybe you should talk to the Sox fans who have cried about it all of our lives. Im just repeating what they tell me about the press and coverage, etc

And honestly, the White Sox won a world series and get zero respect and it was largely forgotten outside of Chicago. They've just never been very relevant regardless of how good they are.
