I actually liked him on the NBA telecasts. Maybe that's because I started watching the NBA back when he was the main guy during NBA on NBC stuff.

after the Bulls won title #1 me and my buddies took to the streets to riot. We made up posters for the occasion. I had one that said "Perkins blow me". A friend had one that said "Detroit Sucks". Another friend had one that said "Fuck Bob Costas". We ended up on Division with the crowds. The news kept showing footage of it and you could clearly see my buddy's Fuck Bob Costas sign.

The next day Mike North was on the radio ripping on the guy who had the fuck bob costas sign.



We ended up rioting every year the Bulls won and we always brought signs. I always had one that said blow me in reference to someone on the other team like Stockton. My one buddy would bring out "Detroit still sucks" every year even when Detroit wsa bad. Fans LOVED that one. And just for fun we always brought out the fuck bob costas sign which was a big hit as well.
