There is an old Army bad habit I sometime have to address even now. The need to each everything you possible can as fast as possible when a meal is presented. Some sub conscious fear of not being sure when you are going to eat something non MRE again is some weird byproduct of infantry/combat MOS units. It built into me a trait of eating until I am tired instead of just full.
