That's crazy talk. McDonald's pancakes are terrible. And those little syrup packets suck. IHOP pancakes are perfectly fine. Certainly better than Golden Nugget. They're a baseline, like Portillo's beef.

I have gone to the Alps on occasion as it is very close, but it's not really better than IHOP and frankly, I'd rather go to Dapper's as well. And the Alps is too expensive. I don't mind dropping $20 on breakfast, but I want to feel as if it was worth it. I get steak and eggs plus rice, beans, queso fresco, chips and salsa, and tortillas, and 2 Diet Cokes at Michoacan and I'm out the door for $20 including the tip. I went into the Alps for a to-go order of a bacon and egg sandwich and a side of hashbrowns and the old Greek told me it was 15 and change. I thought he was trying to give me somebody else's order. But no, his prices are just that fucking high.
