Shireen Baratheon, GOT.

Gandalf (although he didnt quite die). I loved the Hobbit and read it a million times and when I was a little older, I gave LotR the first of many reads. Fly you fools... that fucking sucked for a young Hank. It turned out OK but devastating at the moment.

That was GRRM inspiration for the Ned death. He loved that a huge main character bit it early. Thats why I held out hope that perhaps some of the crazy theories were right about Ned not dying. As we approach the final season, yeah, he dead.
