I'm with Chas. Piccolo is a pigment of the government's imagination. We were all fooled.

The Picolon reference triggereda memory and now I have to change my answer.

I saw The Cowboys, one of John Wayne's last movies, at the Glencoe Theater in 1972. When Bruce Dern kills Wayne's Will Andersen, I pretty much lost it.

The early death of the dad on the Wonder Years. They had to cancel the show one year early and the spoiler at the end was the dad died a couple years after the show ended in the story.

For kids I think the death of Bambi's mother is on the list.

I didn't realize that never gets shown anymore, but it's etched into my memory as well.

Late to this thread and am shocked SHOCKED I SAY that FF and Vegan are not agreeing on something. They are both wrong. For Breaking Bad, the correct answer is Jane Margolis.

The one that hurt as a kid was Lennie Small.

Mick Shrimpton in "This is Spinal Tap". I thought for sure he would break the cycle of Spinal Tap drummers dying.

Yeah, Lennie. Poor guy. My high school-age daughter read that last year and you should have seen the crocodile tears.

She dies between seasons.
There is no episode to not get shown in syndication.

Beni captured that feeling and kept it as part of how he felt toward those with mental/physical disabilities. Reading is a beautiful tool. Didn't read that as part of school. Mother pushed certain books well before they were expected reading.

Totally forgot about that

Knowing it was coming didn't make it hurt any less, KDdidit.

I meant the first episode the next season where Archie is grieving.

But technically that is part of the renamed show, Archie Bunker's Place. They renamed the show in Ediths last season when she was only in a limited number of episodes.

She died in the 2nd season of Archie Bunker's Place....which was a spin-off, not just a rename. You don't see the referenced episode because you don't see Archie Bunker's Place in syndication.
