I couldn't begin to explain that to my sons.

Man that shit was crazy. Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night to find out that the Lakers just dragged the Washington Bullets.

My go to guy on a Late Saturday night was Svengoolie

Mine was the Night Stalker (?)

Wasn't Svengoolie the same guy from Creature Features? I was really young when Creature Features was on.

No, Creature Features only had a narrator as I recall, no host.
There was an original Svengoolie and then Son of Svengoolie. The son is what you recall. Rich Koz is now just Svengoolie.

No we didn’t. But there seemed to be better quality with fewer choices. Maybe it’s just nostalgia.

We used to take naps on Saturday afternoons so we wouldn't fall asleep during Creature Features.

Jerry Bishop was the original Svengoolie.

I got my first taste of screen nudity watching Python on channel 11 circa 1976.

Used to stay up when I was at my Grandma's in Lemont and watch Python/Hill.

We had Video Concert Hall for late night viewing. Also loved watching Braves games when they played on the west coast.

Yeah, in the mid-80s, Python and Dave Allen was pretty much my only source for that. Was cool how the shows were great, too.

Posts like this reinforce the pain of being ignored by the board's only HOF poster. Even autocorrect changes HOF to GOD. Sigh.

someday, somehow I'll win you back. Until then I'll just continue to cry into my soul.
