It already has. There wasn't a white cop involved.

Shooting in Orland Park leads the 10 pm news... shooting in Washington Park gets reported after we have a dozen and can run a story in the Trib in April

19 year old; probably hanging out with his friends.

Man at 19 I was doing whippets in someone's basement and skipping class. Still could have got shot but at least I wouldn't die outside of a Sbarro

It was an H & M

I hope the last thing he saw wasn't that racist hoodie then.

I'm guessing it was over some girl or turf.

Wait--Orland Square is turf now? I remember when that place was so middle-class, outer-ring suburban that I felt out of place there.

I'd agree, but I would also bet that Parkey's wife would be hotter than the freshly-peglegged's girlfriend.

Surprised but not shocked. Used to go there often, nowadays maybe a half dozen times per year.

Maybe a melee in a restaurant near there sort of rings a bell.

Lane Bryant, which I think is technically Tinley Park, about ~3-5 miles from there.

Right. I get that shootings can happen anywhere, but this was clearly a targeted shooting. Its not like the guy walked into the mall and fired off random shots popping anybody he could. He probably knew the guy or at least knew of him, shot and killed him, and left.

You know we have a lot of shootings in this country when it actually matters that the person who was shot at was intentionally chosen rather than just being a random shooting.

Yeah there was more than likely beef in the street and that just happened to be the place that he could get at him. Wouldn't be surprised if one of his "guys"told him that the guy was there. Kids that age rarely think this stuff through. Figures even if he gets caught he is looking at 15-20 years and with good time he can be out by 30. Still a young man though he will simply have something on his books. Doesn't look like a deal killer when you're a teenager and will make you a hero in the "hood".

Sad to say but often times true.

Gotta be horseshit police work, they have a witness, a composite sketch.

The sketch is good, the witness survived and they have his voice recorded.

Back then Tinley Park wasn't known for the great police or mayor.
