I think he'll be more than a role player. Dodgers had a ton of Outfielders, he would have been starting on most teams.

I think he meant platoon rather than role

Maybe but I still believe Pederson can be really good.

.843 ops in 148 games last year.

agreed but his r/l splits are dramatic

I haven't looked into whether Jay or Engle are particularly good against lhp but I am cool with good platoon position, especially with the better player being good against rhp

I don't much care about Pederson. I very much care what would be given up for an OK player with 2 years left.

I'm not a Pederson guy either but he fits this roster well though not nearly as well as Bryce fucking Harper would. I like Bummer but he's trading from a position of strength. They're pretty solid at left handed relievers. I still think there's a good pitcher in Fulmer but he signed his walking papers when he trained at Driveline this offseason. Bryce Bush is an absolute deal breaker. He showed WAY too much upside this summer to trade away so quickly. If they can agree on just about any other low level guy I'm in. It's worth it.

Can you elaborate on why Driveline is bad?

It's too new to say whether it's good or bad but the White sox don't want their pitchers doing Driveline's pitching program they want them doing the White Sox pitching program. Don't cross Coop.

Then I completely agree with you. I don't blame the Dodgers for wanting Bush. Bush a deal breaker? Hope so.

The sad thing is, Bush is the best 3rd baseman in the Sox organization.

In that deal. Yes. I was told there was a counteroffer. I was not told who made the counteroffer nor what the offer was.

If Friedman wants Bush, that's a red flag to me that we should keep him.

Yes, platoon. He will start in 2019. Come 2020....our minor league OF should all be up and kicking ass.

That Alonso deal now looks like even shittier.

At least we were able to save the Indians some money.

Also, Basabe broke his hand and is out 4-6 weeks. Hooray prospects!

They signed a couple relief pitchers they may be able to flip at the deadline for a good prospect.

I don't mind that. He was great in 2017 and there's zero risk.

Good signing. If he produces, flip him for a prospect.

IS Pederson still being talked about? I want him to be signed.

Or when talking about the White Sox in general.
