Looking at the rendering there's no more (free) seating in the BP Bar

White Sox, Goose Island revamp two outfield sections at Guaranteed Rate Field

The White Sox and Goose Island Beer Co. are revamping two sections at Guaranteed Rate Field for the 2019 season, according a rendering and an email obtained by the Northwest Herald.

Sections 106 and 107 in right field at the South Side ballpark are being rebuilt in cooperation with Goose Island, the official craft beer partner of the Sox.

The Sox have not officially announced the changes yet but have informed season ticket holders in those sections.

The area will feature three rows of premium, leather seating with armrests and cup holders. Those seats also will have access to waiters. One such row will be at field level. These seats also will include a small TV and charging ports for mobile devices.

An additional row – aligned with the front row of section 105 next to it – will feature wide, padded seats and access to a waiter.

I think they are overestimating attendance in that mock up drawing.

Thought they might be taking the top deck off.

The idea of "luxury bleacher seats" is something the Cubs planted the seeds for and I kind of wish they hadn't.

I'm not sure how comfortable the leather seating will be during the summer.

Why did they just randomly put a goose head in the drawing?

What is it? A statue? A fan in comstume? A goose shaped seat?

How much is the state of Illinois paying for this?

It's the brand new Frazier Thomas Section.

Another needless uptick to luxury in this stupid fucking country. Just make the warning track into a lazy river with drone-service champagne already. Who needs more "amenities" than Comiskey already has? It's a baseball game, not an all-inclusive resort. But if fans want to part with their cash, that's just more moola to get Machado and Harper.

That is such a beautiful park. It has everything going for it. I took my time and walked around it in May really taking it in. Plus, it was cold and rainy that night.

Yup. I think it looks great the way it is. The brick entrances to each section in the outfield are what really does it for me.

This pretty well sums it up. I go there to watch baseball and talk to the people I'm with. I don't need a leather seat (how are they going to keep those from being absolutely destroyed by the elements?) or to be interrupted by a waiter/waitress every twenty minutes asking me if I need something. That being said, goose heads placed in random places of the park might improve things. Who knows.

These big companies know how to keep leather in good condition outdoors. The fact that you don't know how to keep leather doesn't matter; they do, and they are the ones keeping it in good condition. I think they should have put in pneumatic tubes next to the seats though and then you could order your food on your smartphone app. Can of Green Line and a hot dog please.

I hate sitting anywhere in the outfield....this does nothing for me.
