I have no issue with anything 2 or more consenting adults do in their bedroom.

Warmed my car for a bit. I can confirm it feels cold.

It all comes down to cold cranking amps, decent battery and you're good. Most cars need 600- 750 CCA

Yeah.
.i bought the good battery at NTB in the summer, so it is brand new and legit. Topped off coolant with 100% early in winter should be good there. I don't have to go into office tomorrow so no real need but still would want to be mobile.

-20 on the drive in here in Kenosha. Pretty windy out when I took the dog to do his business. I'll likely work until about 11 or so and then if my
car will start I'll head home for lunch and probably stay there. Office is a ghost town so far but it is still pretty early. I know MANY are planning
on staying home.

Started my car at home like 10 minutes before I left. All good. Drove to train.

As I sat in the Metra parking lot, the temp gage started going down. Never seen that before after driving it.

My car was at 3 degrees when I left the garage after warming it up. I pulled out and within 4 minutes I was at -20. Crazy

Same. Fortunately, my car was in our garage and we still had some melted snow in there so it wasn't sitting in the super frigid stuff overnite. Warmed up the car for about 10 minutes so it was all good for AJ. Got about halfway to my parents, and the temp gauge in the car was noticeably lower than when I left the house. That was a first for me too, arps.

We got some snow from Lake Erie on top of the cold. 10 this morning on the way in and dropping all day. Commute and comfort were fine in the Traverse.

We once drove back to Illinois when we lived out East. We were on 90 and ran into a very bad snow storm right along Lake Erie. The lake effect snow was terrible - no visibility, bitter cold, and some spots that are in the middle of nowhere. I remember getting off on a 2-lane highway in Ohio (but right near Pennnsylvania) to find somewhere to stay, but there was nothing for like ten miles. Driving in that shit on backroads with no idea where we were was quite the experience. We wound up finding a broke-ass Red Roof Inn to stay at in the middle of nowhere, but it took us like 2 hours after we got off the interstate. That area looked like the perfect setting for a serial killer to dump victims.

Yeah it can be real bad. Along Eire in OH and of course South Bend. I related a story last week or two about that. Yikes.

Car didn't start this morning. So walked the wife to the red line at 6am this morning. If you're bundled up correctly the temp is fine.

It just went from -22 to -16 to -24 in a half hour here north of Milwaukee. Wind must have brought some of that warm lake air for a minute.

Hopefully, the cold didn’t get you.

Would be a big loss for the board.

Cool. My uncle was a fitter for about 45 years. He did his last "retirement" engineer position at the Thompson State of Illinois building when that opened. He is 83 now I think and has a lot more money than many of the dopes on here.

It's not that bad. The fear mongers/pussies sure did their job. Man we are soft. This generation sure couldn't hold the line in the Arden Forest against the Germans, could they?
