I think I'll go with chocolate first sir. Was it Doug that recommended adding day old coffee? I've done that in a few things and it does add nice body. In moderation you can't pick out the flavor of coffee but it does add something to the Chile, stew or whatever.

My uncle does this in his recipe. I can't taste it when I make it but I do it anyway because it's the recipe.

So to be clear; adding day old coffee to comfort foods is a solid suggestion but you aren’t open to chocolate or peanut butter? Seems inconsistent at best.

Every couple of months I make a late-night run to Milwaukee for Real Chili.

Bishop's in Westmont isn't that great.
