Wrong section. Take it to the hockey section, bitches.

Wind Sock-Never question me again-I don't make shit up.

Stink Finger-It was already discussed on the MJH show prior to your post, which makes your post here null and void.

Okay internet hall monitors-I plead guilty to early submitting of this information. I should have waited until the topic was discussed on the show. I will go to the box, alone for 2 minutes and I will feel shame.

Perhaps I got a bit carried away. Like Bruuuuce...I wanted to break the big story

I think this is more of a 5 minute major.

Steve, You were correct. Nothing to apologize for. You may not feel much appreciated when you are a step ahead of everyone else. For every person that appreciates your inside knowledge (and some of us do), there is always going to be somebody accusing you of being full of it because it's not yet in print and documented in their morning fishwrap. In my book, you now have a track record of 1-0. That is a much more credible record than many "professional" scribes who, when looking for a scoop, pay too much attention and give airing to the opinions of people who are out of the loop or even worse, simply make stuff up.

If you retired now as an inside scooper with your 1-0 record, I'd still say your record is better than Bruce's.

Agree, C2C. I punched in here before going to the papers' websites this morning and Elmhurst Steve broke the news to me. No apology necessary.

Thanks Coast. When I got word of this last night, I couldn't wait to put this info out there for all the MJH people. I kinda liked the idea of supplying it last night too, before it was on ESPN or The Score , or in the newspapers. So it was too tempting to pass on, for that reason too. Exciting news like this, had to be shared.

Thanks Mac-by the way, look in your messages. I sent you some info on that outing I had suggested, including dates and costs.

It may be the best move to have it on Saturday, then NBC could have that game followed by the 2 playoff games they have since they show the first 2 playoff games.

Elmhurst Steve...congrats on being the first to post...but to say it was inside information is a little bit of a stretch don't ya think...

On my way home from Wrigley after the 2-1 comeback win... I was listening to the Cory Provus post game show... he broke in and said David Kaplan just called him with some "INSIDE" information.... Cory then told how David had information from insiders about the Blackhawks / Red Wings at Wrigley on Jan 1 2009...this was around 10:30 and your post went up about 20 min later..

Seeing as how 'GN booms to 38 states and parts of Canada. For the record it would appear that real "INSIDE" source was in fact WGN and the real "INSIDER" is David Kaplan.

But agaim congrats on the fast fingers.

Actually, I did not hear it from anyone in the media and that makes no sense to me either. If Kaplan who is a Tribune (WGN) employee knew about it, why would he not tell people at the Tribune about it? You would think as a Tribune guy, he would want their paper to be able to print the info before the Sun Times could. I wonder if anyone else heard about this "report"? I got the info from someone at Wrigley Field who works in support staff there. But if Kaplan did report this, he did his employer no favor, by failing to get the facts to print staff.

Give Steve some credit for getting his info from the 88 year old Usher lady in sec 210 and running to the board with this breaking news. It's the same women who yelled at Jurko for holding up the sign a few weeks ago but she is a wealth of info at the friendly confines. :P

Stu-She's hot and you know it. Jurko just couldn't get his swerve on with her, as she's the sophisticated type.

The first I heard of it was on Comcast SportsNet after the Cubs game, before the papers had it.

It's really not a valid announcement on the board unless one of the hockey guys would of announced it and that would be either Ed or Stinkfinger.Steve should of broke it to one of those experts and had them brake it.
