I'm not joking. It's the same punishment that Marge Schott got.

Are we going also to ban any atheist owners who hate Baptists and other fundamentalist Christians?

oh.

I mean, from a selfish standpoint, that wouldnt affect me so I dont care. How did Marge Schott get found out?

I mean it's his personal email. I don't know if you want to start (continue) punishing people for that.

I guess it's similar to the Donald Sterling situation, though I believe that leak was from a party to the conversation. Not sure how the Ricketts e-mails were leaked.

If they are stupid enough to type out "Baptists are my natural enemy" they deserve whatever they get. Same with Ricketts.

I dont know what should be done, but I wont cry for Joe Ricketts either way.

Just make Joe go to sensitivity training. It works for the racist cops that do it, right?

That would be fine too.

Make him work as a butler for a muslim for one month. It doesnt have to be Obama but that would make sense.

So when Ricketts or other old people that have bigoted thoughts and pass around emails get outed how doe the trial work? Is it a penalty for thinking these things or for the actual emailing or both? Do they actually had to have done something to a <protected group>?

Joe gives me hope that it just takes a little nudge to get the boomers to wake up.

BRick, stay out of the deep water. The shallows are good for you. I could take many of your statements on here out of context that would make you look like a monster.

Besides, when I am with one of my brothers, we drop racist slurs all the time. There is a context that only the two of us truly understand and we have certain reasons for doing so.

Stay out of the deep waters.

I guess you have to define impose social penalties.

Boycotting and choosing not patronize is very American. Literally lawful penalties would be the opposite of American.

Yep.....hard not to agree with that.

The issue of privacy here is what really scares me. Relationships don't work without some trust.

Ok, so what context am I missing on the Ricketts emails?

Sometimes I can't tell if you are doing a bit or not but saying that to me and then immediately saying you drop racist slurs all the time may be one of the most hilarious arguments I've ever read.

You think Joe Ricketts emails were deep?

That's pretty funny.

It's pretty clear Rick thinks speech should be regulated and racism should be illegal.

I don't know. We could find out, though. Or we could simply judge him because it it looks like he's a monster, by golly, he is one.

I look forward to him putting those thoughts in context. What do you think he actually meant?
