Fucken A! Why do you sit next to a radio just to nit pick what a guy you don't like says?

"Mike said it rained last night. He is such a dope it's really more of a drizzle."

Spaulding, I drive to work, I listen to the score and that means I listen to mike for about 35-45 minutes, he says something dumb, I will post it, sometimes I dont. This isnt nit picking, this is Mike saying something totally stupid. According to Mike, Education isnt important, thats just dumb, because if he had a education, he would do a total 360 on his stance. Mike deserves every piece of crap he gets on this board.

If he had an education he would be commuting downtown from his northside house on a 25x75 lot to his 9-5 job, making, if he's lucky, low six figures, dealing with a lot of stress, and hoping for the day when he caould afford a monthly parking deal at a parking garage five blocks away from his office.

The board is here to discuss the radio shows, so that is what RV and I did. This happened to be a gem from da pappy this morning. At this point, I tune in until he says the dumbest thing that I will hear anyone say for the day. This usually takes about ten minutes. Today, it happened to be him ripping on Northwestern grads.

I would be happy to post something positive about Nort. The only problem is, he only says stupid things.

Listen, I dont hate Mike, I have met him a few times, nice guy, but his show sucks and what sucks more then anything is his logic on life, its dysfunctional at best. What he doesnt understand in life, in his mind, is wrong. That is just sad and since he decides to spew his logic on a 50,000 watt radio station, I have the right to reply to his comments thanks to this board.

Maybe, but because I live and work on the WI border, espn1000 doesnt come in clear here and I am a score fan. I have said it 1000 times, put Mike with a partner, take him off mornings and put a producer that knows what they are doing on the show, I am a fan. I dont understand why I cant comment on him just because I dont like the show, I am pretty sure I have a right to do that.

So his stance wouldn't change at all?

There are a lot of stupid educated people some may say "IB, look in the mirror!" I think education is important, but I just spent four years in a place where I received very little education.

Here is the thing about his comment. I saved for 23 years to send my kids to the best college's they could get into, so they could get the best possible job. Then to hear the "king of radio" toss out that education isnt important, its insulting, therefore, worthy of a post on his comment. I dont sit by the radio waiting for him to say something dumb, if I did, I would have 40,000 posts, I save my posts for the totally dumb comments by Pappy.

Education is important in my mind, street smarts is just a excuse for the stupid who dont feel the need to exceed a 10th grade education. Pappy is a rags to riches story, he earned it, I never said he didnt, but that doesnt happen for everyone, which means some people have to actually get a education to make it in the work place.

Education is overpriced though, non profit my ass.

Ever seen Harvards endowment? close to $50 Billion! Billion! That's $50 billion just doing nothing but earning about $30 million a month!

To Harvards credit they offer a ton of financial assistance, if a student can get in , they will make sure he or she can go.

Harvard University’s endowment earned a 23.0 percent return during the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007. With FY07 being one of the best performance years since the inception of Harvard Management Company in 1974, the overall value of the University’s endowment grew to $34.9 billion.

Assuming they can do 20% this year, which is possible, but tougher, No reason they can't be around $44 Billion. yes BILLION

I was referring to financial assistance availability to students. My cousin goes there and quite a bit of her education there is paid with loans.

A total 360? What, is he doing pirourettes? (sp) Now if he were doing 270s or 90s, that might be cause for concern...

My thoughts, too, Deacon. What hobbies should RV be engaged in exactly and why is it anyone's concern?
