To me, it's the best. The beat from Premier and the lyrics combine to make the perfect song.

I will take New York State of Mind (also a Primo beat) over Memory Lane anyday. Though I do prefer the Jazz loops. A lot of producers were doing that in the early 90's however. Life's A Bitch is better also. It Ain't Hard to Tell I will roll with over Memory Lane too.

Probably 4th best song.

He stole his whole style from Nas. Before he met Nas he was a "fast" rapper.

Oh and 80% of his lyrics are boring.

It wasn't so much style as it was actual lyrics. Jigga stole lyrics from other artists songs and attempted to pass them off as his own.

His best work was Probably Reasonable Doubt. He had stories to tell. After that he became "Hova" or whatever and primarily started putting club bangers. He was ok. Not as high as some on him but I roll with him. I think the sheer volume of albums is what puts him over a lot of guys. For a time he was putting out an album a year.


I forgot about my guy Jada. Pound for Pound one of the fiercest M.Cs ever. He would bump someone out of that five for me.

I see where I was unclear. I don't mean Eminem is the GOAT. I meant like after Eminem in terms of timeline. After Eminem blew up i sort of went off the radar and missed anyone who came after him. Have returned to the scene for a bit and am getting used to the new players. I don't like Drake and Kanye. I like Lamar. Idk who else out there is or was great though.

A lot of people love J. Cole. I like him, dont love him.

Logic is pretty good. I like Anderson.Paak but he is more of an R&B/rap hybrid.

Schoolboy Q is also great.

I've not seen Andre 3000 put on many top lists but...it is sorta hard to argue. He had some killer verses. And whatever Hey Ya is.

Big Pun though? Weak.
