Why are you so sure Comcast wont cut a deal with them? What makes you think that?

No, their cable companies don't pick up the channel.

RPB is kind of correct. The Dodgers have MANY more fans than the Cubs. The Sox fan base cannot compare.

I guess we'll see what happens in 2020

I cant imagine a scenario where a large number of Cub fans cant watch the games and nothing can be done about it. I am betting that it gets figured out one way or another.

Im sorry, do we belive the Dodgers fanbase is large and fanatical? Because it's not.

Im talking about legitimate fans who watch games regularly. Not people who go to 1-2 games and own a Dodgers hat. Those people dont care if they can watch the games.

MLB currently prohibits any team from doing that. It has to go through a cable company. So if comcast says no then all comcast customers are out of luck on legal ways to watch. Illegal streams will exist but the Cubs aren't getting paid for those.

I dont care at all about the Cubs getting paid.

Comcast will cut a deal.

They may. They had no choice with the BTN last year but that's much bigger than the Cubs network.

RPB melting down and starting to sound strangely similar to a Cardinal fan

Over the line.

Do you think Dodgers fans are one of the more fanatical fanbases?

Of course it is possible. I'm sure Comcast would take it for free.

Forbes has the Dodgers worth slightly more than the Cub FWIW.

The Cubs and Dodgers are probably very similar in terms of having a super-devoted core of fans and legions upon legions of casual fans. Compare with the Sox, who have the super-devoted core but not all the casuals, or the Rays, who seem to have no fans at all.

I'm sure all the fans filling the rooftops where you can barely see the game were all die hard fans who care about seeing every pitch of every game.

It's uncomfortably fun to do John Sterling Voice on this name but pronounce it wrong.

Nope.

You can't subscribe to the channel unless you are a Time Warner subscriber.

The other cable providers refuse to pay the carriage fee. Time Warner refuses to have the channel as a sports-tier channel.

Bryan as usual doesn't know what he is talking about and using his feelings again.

Percentage of seats sold

Cubs: 94.3 (3rd in MLB)
Dodgers: 84 (8th in MLB)

You guys are right, Dodger fans dont have the rep of fair weather fans who show up late and leave early. LA is a totally awesome sports town.
