The whole issue here is that Sinclair is an evil Trump loving fake news organization that shouldnt be supported under any circumstances.

Jerry Reinsdorf, who owns the White Sox, is a partner of theirs and is helping them profit. There is no spinning that.

Sox fans did this to themselves with the fake over the top outrage.

A for effort my friend but there’s a distinct difference between Jerry being coinvestors with them on something else and the Cubs having a direct broadcast partnership with them.

But I must point out that if you want to be sure none of your money ever ends up with Sinclair, you have to pretty much never spend a dime on the White Sox.

No one has said White Sox games will be shown on them (Sinclair wants ratings) but Sinclair's presence is all over the Cell and the United Center.

Jerry makes money from the White Sox and invests it in his Stadium network project. Stadium makes money, Sinclair profits. Pretty simple.

This is a good example of how ridiculous it is to try and parse partnerships.

You're either with Sinclair or you're not. Both the Sox and Cubs are with them. Sox were first (credit where credit is due)

Why would Jerry investing money into Stadium make Sinclair money? Wouldn't they have to invest more money too?

It's not ridiculous to parse direct partnerships. The Chicago Cubs will be playing baseball on a Sinclair owned network. If the Sox start playing on Stadium then it's the same thing.

The Cubs will be playing on a Sinclair owned network. The White Sox will be showing a Sinclair network at the park on a giant screen. Both are supporting and aiding Sinclair.

If you think partnering with Sinclair is wrong, I disagree but I commend you for that principled stance.

It sucks that your favorite team is involved but that's the way it is.

This is just a different version of White Sox: We Suck Less.

Explain how it enriches them that Jerry puts more money into Stadium. When you put more money into a business, you gain a larger share of the company otherwise you are just giving away part of it.
Showing something on the screen? So now we are at the point where advertisers are the same thing as what the Cubs are doing.
